Democrats -- Can We All Get Along

In August, I posed the question about whether Congressional Democrats were on target voicing the base's expectation in confronting Republicans on issues relating to jobs, health care, deficit spending, social security, attacks on unions and state and Federal workers by Republicans who hold elected positions and those seeking elected positions.

Obviously not on target.  It's very disheartening for fellow Democrats to witness those in the Democratic Party and in the House of Representatives finding reason to feud with our Democratic president, while in congress they stood silent during a Republican presidency and voted along with him, more times them not against the base's principles.  And, it is amazingly ridiculous to see any Democrat taking aim at President Obama in public over a "let's get fired up speech".  Why take any part of President Obama's speech and think it personal?  If you do take it personally, why are you taking it public, when you know it breaks down the party.

Instead of feuding with the President, why are you, Democrats not speaking up for gay soldiers on the battlefield fighting for you and all Americans, speak up when you hear them being disparaged by ignorant Republicans.

Democrats need to stand firmly with the President because the people who elected them expect it and want to win the 2012 election.  Take a page from Republicans, they stick to their talking points, every one of them.  Democrats need to try to get along, even if you may think it's personal, let it slide and remember your job is to fight for the American people.

We want to see Democrats put on a full court press and not let any space come between Congressional Democrats and the President.  Step up and speak up for the President; stop being so milli-mouth on what matters to your contingents.

President Obama needs surrogates and that means all Congressional Democrats.

Get on board and get along.
